Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad seeks an experienced educator to lead Teaching & Learning initiatives within the nursing education programme. The role involves delivering lectures, tutorials, clinical demonstrations, and simulation-based learning, while ensuring alignment with curriculum requirements and accreditation standards.

You will supervise student performance in theory and practice and contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, clinical demonstrations, and simulation-based learning.
• Supervise and assess student performance in both theory and clinical practice.
• Use innovative and evidence-based teaching methods to enhance learning engagement.
• Ensure alignment of teaching and assessment activities with accreditation and regulatory standards (e.g., MQA, Nursing Board Malaysia).
• Monitor students’ clinical competencies and maintain records of their progress during placements.
• Liaise with clinical instructors and ward supervisors to ensure effective learning experiences.
• Provide constructive feedback on academic and clinical performance.
• Participate in moderation, curriculum review, and examination board activities.
• Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications, or conferences related to nursing education.
• Contribute to institutional research and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate academic and attendance records of students.
• Support the programme in accreditation, audit, and curriculum development exercises.

Job description

A. Teaching & Learning Plan,

prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, clinical demonstrations, and simulation-based learning. Develop course materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools in line with curriculum requirements. Supervise and assess student performance in both theory and clinical practice. Use innovative and evidence-based teaching methods to enhance learning engagement. Ensure alignment of teaching and assessment activities with accreditation and regulatory standards (e.g., MQA, Nursing Board Malaysia).

B. Clinical Supervision Guide and mentor students during clinical placements in hospitals, clinics, or community settings,

Monitor students’ clinical competencies and maintain records of their progress. Liaise with clinical instructors and ward supervisors to ensure effective learning experiences.

C. Assessment & Evaluation Design, conduct, and evaluate formative and summative assessments,

Provide constructive feedback to students on their academic and clinical performance. Participate in moderation, curriculum review, and examination board activities.

D. Research & Continuous Development,

Engage in scholarly activities, such as research, publications, or conferences, related to nursing education. Pursue continuous professional development to remain current in nursing practice and pedagogy. Contribute to institutional research and quality improvement initiatives.

E. Administration & Academic Support,

Participate in departmental meetings, student advisory sessions, and institutional events. Maintain accurate academic and attendance records of students. Support the programme in accreditation, audit, and curriculum development exercises.
