Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

• Delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in IT/Computer Science and Education-related courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students
• Developing and updating course materials, lesson plans, and educational resources that reflect current industry practices and academic standards
• Assessing student performance through examinations, assignments, projects, and continuous evaluation methods
• Providing academic guidance and mentorship to students, supporting their intellectual and professional development
• Conducting research and staying current with advancements in IT, Computer Science, and Education fields
• Contributing to curriculum development and programme reviews to ensure relevance and quality
• Participating in academic committees and university initiatives

What we're looking for

• A PhD or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Education, or a related discipline
• A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in IT, Computer Science, Education, or a related field, preferably including some teaching or training experience
• Strong knowledge and expertise in IT/Computer Science and Education disciplines with the ability to teach across multiple subject areas
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, student-centred learning experiences
• Proficiency in using educational technology tools and learning management systems
• Strong research acumen and a commitment to continuous professional development
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to departmental goals
• Commitment to academic integrity and ethical conduct in teaching and research
