Job summary

Boston Scientific in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to lead Lean initiatives, value stream improvements and capacity planning across manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate with R&D, Process Development, and Equipment Engineering to implement Kaizen activities, drive standard times, and deliver data-driven reports while ensuring ergonomic design and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience with at least 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to productivity improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support value improvement and waste elimination activities through Lean and Process Improvement projects aligned with business goals and objectives.
• Drive implementation and continuous advancement of Lean Manufacturing principles across manufacturing operations.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams for Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
• Deliver training and ongoing support on Lean tools and methodologies while driving process optimization initiatives.
• Lead waste reduction and productivity improvement efforts across manufacturing and support functions.
• Collaborate with R&D, Process Development, and Equipment Engineering teams to ensure new products, processes, and equipment are designed with Lean and ergonomic principles.
• Support Value Stream Mapping activities and operational excellence initiatives.
• Review facility layout changes and support production flow optimization through space utilization and capacity planning.
• Establish and maintain standard times through work measurement studies and engineering standards.
• Prepare, maintain, and present Industrial Engineering data, standards, and reports in accordance with company guidelines.
