Job summary

Master Tec Wire & Cable Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead end-to-end production, coordinate daily, monthly, and annual targets, and drive continuous improvement across all lines.

You will optimize OEE, reduce scrap, minimize downtime, implement TPM and Lean/5S, collaborate with QA/QC for ISO 9001, oversee manpower, shift scheduling, and upskill staff through formal training and skill matrices while enforcing DOSH/OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of hands-on manufacturing operations experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
• Proven track record in process optimization, line balancing and capacity planning.
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, root-cause analysis (RCA), and ERP-driven production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and monitor end-to-end plant operations to meet daily, monthly, and annual production targets.
• Optimize key operational metrics, including OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), scrap reduction, downtime, and cycle times.
• Partner with Maintenance to implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and minimize unplanned machine breakdowns.
• Champion Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives across all operational lines.
• Collaborate closely with QA/QC to maintain ISO 9001 compliance and ensure stringent product quality control.
• Oversee manpower planning, shift scheduling, and technical upskilling through line-level training and skill matrices.
• Uphold and enforce strict Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH/OSHA) standards across all shop-floor activities.
