Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Industrial Engineer to plan equipment layouts in plant offices and production facilities, and to establish standards that improve industrial engineering techniques.

Under supervision, analyze existing methods, develop recommendations to reduce costs and time, increase yields, and improve quality and consistency of final products. Strong focus on lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science field.
• A minimum of three years of experience in industrial engineering.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing concepts and processes, including FMEA, takt time, cycle time, and lead time.
• Exposure to Project Management and involvement in process improvement projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with time management.
• Possess a continuous improvement mindset and strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan for equipment layouts in plant offices and production facilities and establish standards to improve industrial engineering techniques.
• Analyse existing industrial engineering techniques and develop recommendations to reduce costs and time, increase yields and productivity, and improve quality.
• Conduct studies to determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow and recommend methods for maximum utilization of facilities and personnel.
• Provide engineering service and advice to industrial engineering activities; prepare reports on production methods, equipment layout, and utilization.
• Understand client needs and technical specifications to develop new techniques and estimate time requirements and total project costs.
• The job function is not exhaustive and may include additional responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.
