Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize production and reduce waste. You will conduct time studies, establish standard cycle times, balance production lines to maximize manpower efficiency, and ensure standard methods are followed across operations.

In this role you will monitor productivity, OEE, downtime, and labor utilization; drive Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects; and support new line setups and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Fresh graduates or 1–3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, work study, line balancing, and process improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of ERP/SAP is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct time studies and establish standard cycle times.
• Monitor and improve production productivity, labor efficiency, and machine utilization.
• Analyze production data and identify opportunities to improve output and reduce waste.
• Balance production lines and optimize manpower allocation.
• Develop and maintain production standards and work instructions.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects.
• Monitor and report production KPIs, including productivity, efficiency, OEE, and downtime.
• Support new production line setup, process changes, and capacity planning.
• Work with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve production issues and improve operational performance.
• Identify and implement cost-saving and productivity improvement initiatives.
