Job summary

VC Engineering Sdn. Bhd. seeks an experienced Lead Testing & Commissioning Engineer to lead end-to-end T&C for Data Centre and other high-tech projects. You will ensure M&E systems are tested, integrated, validated and handed over per requirements, specs and industry standards.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and delivering comprehensive testing, handover documentation and client acceptance. Travel to project sites is expected as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services or related M&E field.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering and Testing & Commissioning experience.
• Experience in Data Centre, Mission Critical, Semiconductor, Cleanroom or high-tech projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Willing to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Testing & Commissioning activities from planning through handover.
• Develop commissioning plans, schedules, test procedures, test scripts and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate T&C with PM, Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, HSE, consultants, vendors and specialist contractors.
• Lead testing and commissioning of critical M&E systems, including HVAC/ACMV, chilled water, electrical, UPS, generators, BMS/EPMS, fire protection and other critical systems.
• Plan and execute Functional Performance Testing (FPT) and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements and commissioning documentation to ensure system readiness.
• Lead troubleshooting, technical issue resolution and closure of commissioning punch lists.
• Monitor commissioning progress and ensure activities are completed in line with project schedule and quality requirements.
• Prepare and review commissioning records, test reports and handover documentation.
• Coordinate final system verification, performance testing and handover to the client/operations team.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Testing & Commissioning Engineer to lead and manage end-to-end testing and commissioning activities for Data Centre, Mission Critical and other high-tech projects. The role will be responsible for ensuring M&E systems are properly tested, integrated, validated and successfully handed over in accordance with project requirements, specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

Lead and manage overall Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities from planning through final handover.

Develop commissioning plans, schedules, test procedures, test scripts and acceptance criteria.

Coordinate T&C activities with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, HSE, consultants, vendors and specialist contractors.

Lead testing and commissioning of critical M&E systems, including HVAC/ACMV, chilled water, electrical, UPS, generators, BMS/EPMS, fire protection and other critical systems.

About you

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, M&E Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering and Testing & Commissioning experience.

Experience in Data Centre, Mission Critical, Semiconductor, Cleanroom or other high-tech projects will be an advantage.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with critical M&E systems and system integration.

Experience in FPT, IST and project handover.

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical specifications.

Good understanding of applicable Malaysian statutory requirements, codes and industry standards.

Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Able to lead multiple stakeholders and commissioning activities under demanding project schedules.

Willing to travel and work at project sites when required.
