Job summary

Dyson is seeking a Senior Test Technician to support small to medium complex projects, focusing on performance and robustness verification testing in the test labs. You will lead a team of Test Technicians and Test Operators, review test requests, and report testing readiness and risks to stakeholders.

You will collaborate with Design, Engineering and Technology teams to optimize Dyson product testing, ensure quality outputs, and drive continuous improvement in lab timing, cost, and safety

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mechanical/electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in verification and testing, including project planning.
• Exposure to test rigs, automation, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead new Dyson product verification testing in lab settings.
• Collaborate with Test Engineers and external teams to plan tests.
• Review test requests and align with testing requirements.
• Deliver operational tasks and lead Test Technicians.
• Ensure quality of test results and failure reports.
• Perform failure analysis on Units Under Test (UUT).
• Report results to designers and engineers; ensure safety compliance.
• Define verification strategy with management and engineering teams.
• Identify improvements to lab operations and costs.
• Specify and set up required test equipment and DAQ setups.
• Review product features to advise test setups with external vendors.
