Job summary

Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to assist the Chef De Cuisine and collaborate with the Executive Sous Chef to uphold quality standards and drive culinary excellence.

In the Chef's absence, you will oversee the operation, monitor daily kitchen activities, guide the culinary team, and ensure a positive guest experience through superior food preparation and service.

Qualifications

• Certified in Kitchen Production and Management.
• Knowledgeable in menu planning and operational skills.
• Knowledgeable in kitchen hygiene practices and OSHA standards.
• Good command of MS Office for administrative purposes.
• Minimum 2 years as Sous Chef or 3 years as Chef De Partie in an international chain hotel or F&B outlet.
• Open to locals only due to immigration regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef De Cuisine and collaborate with the Executive Sous Chef to uphold quality standards.
• In the absence of the Chef De Cuisine, manage the entire operation.
• Monitor daily culinary department functions and provide guidance to the team.
• Aim to deliver positive guest experiences through quality preparation and service.
