Job summary

Regent Kuala Lumpur, part of InterContinental Hotels Group, seeks an accomplished Chef De Cuisine to lead the kitchen brigade for its all-day dining destination. You will translate Malaysia's culinary heritage into every dish served across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, guiding a team with care, discipline and creativity.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, training, and maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety and guest experience.

Qualifications

Degree or Vocational Certificate in any recognised field.
5-7 years' experience in a kitchen/supervisory role, with at least 4 years in a supervisory capacity.
Genuine appreciation for and knowledge of Malaysian cuisine and culinary heritage.
Proficient English communications.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain effective employee and inter-departmental working relationships.
Lead training plans and materials for the kitchen team, in coordination with the Director of Food and Beverage, Executive Chef, and Training Manager, in line with IHG guidelines.
Oversee the kitchen operations across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, translating Malaysia's culinary heritage into every dish.
Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation across the kitchen's output.
Manage team development and performance within the kitchen brigade.
Ensure hygiene and safety standards are maintained in the kitchen and with the Stewarding department.
