Job summary

CUCKOO International (MAL) BERHAD is seeking a Product Development (Skincare) Specialist/Lead for WonderLab Skincare in Malaysia. You will bridge brand vision and product development, guiding OEM partners from concept to launch while ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

You will manage end-to-end NPD, coordinate with Marketing and Sales, and benchmark ingredients and technologies to drive innovation and commercial readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science or another relevant scientific discipline.
• Senior Executive: preferably 3–5 years of relevant skincare/cosmetics product development experience.
• Assistant Manager: preferably 5–7 years of relevant skincare/cosmetics product development experience with ownership of end-to-end NPD projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key product development liaison to the Brand Owner/Business Unit Head, translating concepts into development briefs for OEMs and labs.
• Manage end-to-end NPD pipeline from brief, formulation, sampling through testing, approval, production and launch.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations and partners to meet milestones and launch timelines.
• Maintain NPD trackers covering progress, testing, regulatory readiness, artwork and production timelines.
• Lead formulation development with OEM/R&D partners to meet positioning, efficacy and target cost.
• Ensure product safety, quality and regulatory compliance for Malaysia and ASEAN cosmetics.
• Monitor post-launch performance and drive improvements with OEMs and internal teams.
