Job summary

CHINA STATE CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING (M) SDN. BHD. in Malaysia seeks an experienced surveyor to perform setting-out and as-built surveys for civil, structural, M&E and façade works.

You will carry out precise field measurements, operate total station and GPS equipment, and keep detailed records to support project progress. You will analyse data to detect deviations, coordinate with project teams, and ensure compliance with specifications and standards on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction surveying experience.
• Experience in civil, structural, M&E and façade surveys.
• Proficient in Total Station, GPS, Auto Level and related equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of English for technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct setting-out, as-built and detailed surveys for construction works.
• Carry out accurate site measurements aligned with approved drawings and specifications.
• Operate Total Station, GPS, Auto Level and other surveying equipment.
• Maintain accurate daily survey records and progress reports.
• Analyse survey results and identify deviations, providing timely data to the team.
• Coordinate daily surveying activities with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Supervisors and subcontractors.
• Provide on-site surveying support to Construction, Engineering and Design teams.
• Ensure all surveying activities comply with project specs and standards.
• Assist with preparation and submission of as-built data for handover.
