Job summary

Equator Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled Surveyor to conduct land, topographical, setting-out and as-built surveys for construction projects in Malaysia.

You will establish survey control points, benchmarks, and reference markers, and perform levelling and alignment checks to ensure construction accuracy. You will operate Total Station, Theodolite, and Auto Level, prepare data and drawings, and maintain survey gear. Proficiency in AutoCAD and GPS/GNSS systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction or infrastructure projects
• Proficient in operating Total Station, Theodolite, and Auto Level
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
• Able to interpret engineering and construction drawings
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Willing to be based at project sites and travel when required
• Experience in industrial, EPC, power plant, or infrastructure projects (preferred)
• Familiarity with GPS/GNSS surveying systems and survey data processing software (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Conduct land, topographical, setting-out, and as-built surveys for construction activities
• Establish and verify survey control points, benchmarks, and reference markers
• Perform levelling and alignment checks to ensure construction accuracy
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment, including Total Station, Theodolite, and Auto Level
• Prepare survey data, reports, sketches, and as-built drawings
• Produce and update survey drawings using AutoCAD
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors on survey requirements
• Ensure all survey works comply with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
