Job summary

FINEXUS Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead backend systems delivery, champion technical quality, and mentor junior engineers in our Malaysia-based team. You will own design, architecture, and feature delivery for reliable, scalable backend services that align with business goals.

You will guide architecture decisions, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with Product and Business teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, while supporting production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3 - 5 years of professional backend engineering experience, delivering production systems end-to-end.
• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable, high-availability system architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of backend microservices, APIs, and features.
• Own architecture and technical decisions for assigned modules, ensuring they meet business and system performance goals.
• Conduct code and architecture reviews for peers and junior engineers.
• Support production systems, troubleshoot critical issues, and improve operational processes.
• Collaborate with Product, Project, and Business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the technology roadmap and technical standards.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and mentoring to strengthen the engineering team.
