Job summary

Finexus is seeking a Software Engineer III to lead backend design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-grade systems in a banking/payments context. You will mentor junior engineers and shape technical direction to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.

You will own backend microservices, APIs, and integration patterns, drive code and architecture reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust software solutions.

Qualifications

• Five years of professional backend experience with end-to-end delivery.
• Proven ability to design scalable, highly available architectures.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise messaging, APIs, databases, deployment, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of backend microservices and APIs.
• Own architecture decisions for modules ensuring security, performance, and business alignment.
• Review code and architecture, giving constructive guidance to peers and juniors.
• Support production systems, troubleshoot critical issues, and improve operational processes.
• Collaborate with Product, Project, and Business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
