Job summary

Fuku in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a senior .NET Core engineer to modernize and refactor legacy systems within a fintech-focused team. You will join a 20-engineer group in Malaysia, collaborating with a lead engineer and a Singapore-based Product Manager on enterprise-ready features.

The role demands strong experience with event-driven architecture, microservices, and cloud platforms, and you will report to the Head of Engineering in KL.

Qualifications

• 3–10+ years of experience with .NET Core.
• Experience with Event Driven architecture, Microservices, and API integrations.
• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure or GCP.
• Background in fintech, tech companies, product companies, startups, or scale-ups, focused on enterprise-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Refactor legacy applications, address technical debt, and apply modern design principles.
• Analyze business objectives, prepare action plans, and identify areas for improvement.
• Work across the full SDLC, contributing to system stability, scalability, and continuous improvement.
• Translate backend business and functional requirements into technical designs.
• Report to the Head of Engineering, based in Kuala Lumpur, with fintech background.
• Be part of a team of 20 engineers in Malaysia, collaborating with the Singapore Product Manager.
