Job summary

Tong Hing Supermarket Sdn Bhd in Sabah is hiring a Store Operations Supervisor to oversee daily store operations, coach department leads and coordinate with teams to ensure smooth execution of tasks.

You will manage staffing, rosters and attendance, monitor inventory, handle customer issues, and uphold SOPs, hygiene and brand standards while driving a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of retail/store operations experience, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Good knowledge of inventory and retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily store operations and coordinate with department leads.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, hygiene and brand standards.
• Assist in resolve daily operational issues.
• Lead, coach and develop store employees and Department Leads.
• Monitor staff roster and attendance.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and staff development with HR.
• Maintain premium customer service standards.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints professionally.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, stock availability through Panda.
• Support stock replenishment, stocktakes and cycle counts.
• Monitor stock shrinkage and report discrepancies.
• Monitor daily Panda reports, including sales, stock, POS transactions, errors, voids and discounts.
• Ensure compliance with Panda SOPs and support staff training.
• Conduct regular walks and monitor expiry control.
• Ensure proper product presentation, quality and hygiene standards.
