POET Technologies Inc. in Penang is seeking a Process Engineer focused on Middle-of-Line with Front-of-Line knowledge to develop, optimize, and sustain MOL processes in optical engines and module assembly, ensuring tight integration with FOL for yield and quality improvements.

You will lead DOE/DOE, SPC, FMEA, and 8D analyses, collaborate with cross-functional teams and CM partners, and drive cost and cycle-time reductions while maintaining ISO/quality documentation.

Formación

• Must have a degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in semiconductor/electronics/high-tech manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of MOL and photonics packaging with hands-on process expertise.
• Experience with DOE, SPC, FMEA, 8D, and yield/data analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Own and optimize MOL processes (chip attach, dispensing, reflow, solder ball jetting, transfer, pick & place).
• Maintain knowledge of FOL processes (die attach, flip chip, eutectic bonding, wire bonding).
• Establish process parameters, control plans, and WI to ensure robust manufacturing.
• Design and execute DOE for process optimization and perform SPC analyses.
• Lead yield improvement initiatives and perform root cause analyses (8D, Fishbone, FMEA).
• Support NPI by defining process flows, tooling, materials, and process qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Collaborate with equipment engineers on specs, installation, qualification, and troubleshooting.
• Evaluate and qualify new materials for cost and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain documentation ensuring ISO/quality compliance.
• Train production personnel and CM partners on new processes and updates.
