Job summary

InterContinental 62s Group plc is seeking a skilled Bakery Supervisor to lead a luxury hotel bakery operations in Kuala Lumpur. You will oversee induction, bakery standards, and training, while managing costs and ensuring exceptional guest pastries and breads.

The role requires extensive bakery expertise in high-end settings, HACCP knowledge, and fluency in English. This position is based on-site in Malaysia and offers opportunities within a prestigious hotel group.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related field.
• Preferably 6 years bakery experience in a luxury hotel or high-quality restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of breads, doughs and pastries, and kitchen/baking techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP guidelines, and FSMS compliance.
• Fluent English; other languages an advantage

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver induction programmes for new team members.
• Maintain comprehensive bakery standards and oversee their implementation.
• Carry out training needs analysis and design/deliver training programmes.
• Coach, counsel and, when required, discipline team members with constructive feedback.
• Communicate regularly with the team and maintain good working relationships.
• Ensure bakery food costs stay within budget and keep accurate records.
• Produce full range of bakery items and oversee production line.
• Observe and ensure presentation and freshness meet Regent standards.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and ensure FSMS compliance.
