Job summary

TOP-A PLASTIC SDN. BHD. is seeking a Foreman for the Mould Department to oversee daily mould maintenance, repairs, and preparation for production.

The role requires leading mould technicians, ensuring preventive maintenance, and coordinating with production during breakdowns to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate has a diploma or technical certificate in mechanical engineering or related field and at least 3 years in plastic injection mould maintenance, with strong knowledge of mould

Qualifications

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die or related field.
Minimum 3 years experience in plastic injection mould maintenance.
Strong knowledge of plastic injection mould structure and operation.
Experience with mould troubleshooting and repair.
Familiarity with hot runner systems, cooling systems, and mould components.
Ability to read engineering drawings and mould designs.
Leadership and team supervision skills.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
Good communication and coordination with cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Supervise mould maintenance, servicing, and repair activities.
Ensure moulds are cleaned, inspected, and maintained according to preventive maintenance schedules.
Coordinate with production team during mould breakdowns or urgent repairs.
Coordinate mould preparation for production schedules.
Lead and supervise mould technicians and toolmakers.
Ensure team members follow proper maintenance procedures and safety practices.
Implement and monitor mould preventive maintenance programs.
Maintain mould maintenance records and service history.
Ensure moulds meet required production standards and work closely with Quality and Production teams to resolve mould-related defects.
Monitor mould spare parts and consumables.
