Job summary

DXN Limited, a leading modular data centre developer in Asia Pacific, is expanding in Johor. We seek a Mechanical Supervisor to lead mechanics, cooling, and safety for all module builds and to act as the technical reference during production.

You will report to the Head of Production and manage a team of specialists. The role demands strong experience in mechanical installation, commissioning, and supervision within industrial or modular data centre environments, with familiarity in ASHRAE

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years in mechanical installation and commissioning in industrial or modular settings, with 3+ years supervising.
• Experience commissioning precision cooling and managing fitout on packaged plants or modular units.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE data centre thermal guidelines and vendor documentation.
• Confident reading P&IDs, isometric pipe drawings and equipment GA drawings.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Plan and sequence mechanical production activities to support the factory build schedule.
• Review mechanical design packages and raise RFIs for coordination issues.
• Issue daily work assignments and monitor progress against milestones.
• Conduct first-off and stage inspections of fitout, equipment mounting, cable containment and cooling pipework.
• Oversee cooling system tests, vacuum procedures and refrigerant charging; sign off test records.
• Manage FAT activities including airflow measurement, thermal mapping and functional testing; approve FAT docs.
• Review HIRARC, Method Statements and Lifting Plans; act as crane supervisor for overhead lifting.
• Coordinate with Electrical Supervisor to avoid clashes in cable management and commissioning sequence.
• Run performance reviews and mentor the mechanical team.
• Support mechanical scope schedules, resource plans and cost-to-complete forecasts.
