Job summary

Gamuda Berhad is seeking a Senior Engineer - Design (Mechanical & Electrical) to assist the Design Manager in overseeing all mechanical and electrical engineering activities for the Ulu Padas Hydroelectric Project. The role requires coordinating with design teams, ensuring compliance with standards, and delivering integrated solutions across HV/MV/LV power, buildings, and infrastructure systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in HV, MV and LV power distribution and related systems.
• Experience in renewable energy projects and large-scale infrastructures.
• Proactive in AI/digital tools adoption.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage the mechanical & electrical design lifecycle for detailed design and construction activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant and cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure designs meet standards and owner specifications; collaborate with QA/QC.
• Oversee design drawings, reports, calculations and documents from EPCC consultants.
• Utilize AI tools to automate tasks and improve productivity.
• Adhere to Quality, Safety & Health & Environment policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
