Job summary

GAMUDA is seeking an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to assist in managing all mechanical and electrical engineering activities for the Ulu Padas Hydroelectric Project. The role involves design review, coordination, and technical governance to ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HV/MV/LV power distribution and related electrical systems.
• Experience with renewable energy projects and large-scale infrastructure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage the mechanical and electrical design lifecycle for detailed design and construction activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver compliant and cost-effective solutions.
• Review design calculations, schematics, and technical drawings for submission at project stages.
• Ensure designs meet local standards and owner specifications.
• Collaborate with QA/QC teams to validate designs through testing and inspection.
• Coordinate with architects, civil/structure, BIM, QSHE, ESG, consultants, and clients to integrate designs.
• Oversee preparation of design drawings, reports, calculations, and other documentation from EPCC consultants.
• Utilize AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and digitalise workflows; identify productivity improvements.
