Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HV/MV/LV power distribution and related electrical systems.
• Experience with renewable energy projects and large-scale infrastructure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage the mechanical and electrical design lifecycle for detailed design and construction activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver compliant and cost-effective solutions.
• Review design calculations, schematics, and technical drawings for submission at project stages.
• Ensure designs meet local standards and owner specifications.
• Collaborate with QA/QC teams to validate designs through testing and inspection.
• Coordinate with architects, civil/structure, BIM, QSHE, ESG, consultants, and clients to integrate designs.
• Oversee preparation of design drawings, reports, calculations, and other documentation from EPCC consultants.
• Utilize AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and digitalise workflows; identify productivity improvements.

Job Summary

Assist Design Manager in managing all mechanical & electrical engineering activities including design review, design coordination, design management, construction support, technical governance and stakeholder coordination to ensure successful delivery of Ulu Padas Hydroelectric Project.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and manage the entire mechanical & electrical design lifecycle for detailed design and during construction activities.
• Work with multidisciplinary design teams (engineer) to deliver compliant and cost effective solutions.
• Review design calculations, schematics, and technical drawings for submission / issuance at the relevant stages of the project.
• Ensure designs meet local industry standards and project owner specification and requirements.
• Collaborate with QA/QC teams to validate designs through testing and inspection.
• Work closely with teams of architect, civil & structure, BIM, QSHE, ESG, consultants and clients to integrate mechanical & electrical designs with the overall system.
• Manage design timelines, coordination with various department to meet project design deliverables.
• Oversee and review the preparation of design drawings, design reports, technical calculations, and other design documentation from EPCC consultants.
• Actively utilise AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and digitalise workflows, consistently identifying opportunities to improve daily productivity while participating in upskilling initiatives to advance AI capabilities.
• To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
• Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Skills & Abilities

• Well-verse in relevant international and local authority standards & requirement.
• Experience in renewable energy projects & large-scale infrastructure projects such as HydroElectric Dam, Pump Storage, Solar Photovoltaic, HV Transmission, Water Treatment Plant and Flood Mitigation will be an added advantage
• Proactive mindset for digital experimentation and proficiency in applying AI productivity tools to streamline operations and enhance output quality.
• Hands-on experience with Google Workspace (GWS) tools is an added advantage.

Expected Minimum Years of Experience

Minimum 5 years working experience with strong engineering knowledge in HV, MV and LVpower distribution, lighting design, diesel generator system, telecommunication and SCADAsystem and/or ACMV, Fire Protection System, Plumbing and Vertical Transportation.
