Job summary

Crop Protection (M) Sdn Bhd in Klang, Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to keep plant machinery and facilities in optimal condition through routine checks, planning, and continuous improvement. The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and involves coordinating repairs with Production and Maintenance teams.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in a supervisory/management field, with electrical, electronics and mechanical know-how, plus strong MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint skills for

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years supervisory/management experience.
• Electrical, electronics and mechanical knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint with reporting and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain plant machinery, identify recurring faults, coordinate repairs with Production and Maintenance, and monitor work in progress to reduce downtime.
• Manage fire safety systems, compressors, chillers, scrubbers and production machinery. Plan spare parts availability and prepare utility, maintenance and performance reports.
• Lead improvement assignments and projects; apply 5S, Lean and TPM methods to reduce waste and improve manufacturing practices.
• Work with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) on environmental impacts and improvement targets, and support the company’s quality system and safety procedures.
• Read safety rules, operating instructions, batch tickets, charts and equipment readouts; coordinate with suppliers and other departments, and provide meetings, training and presentations when required.
