Job summary

Molex, a Koch company and global electronics connector leader, is seeking a Senior/Process Engineer for injection molding in Penang. You will own the full molding lifecycle, drive process validation, and partner with design and quality teams to ensure quality parts on time.

You will lead DOEs, sampling, and qualification activities, while maintaining documentation and improving tooling reliability across shifts and machines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of injection molding process or tooling engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of thermoplastics and mold construction (cold/hot runner, multi‑cavity).
• Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ and mold qualification activities.
• CAD proficiency for mold/part review (SolidWorks/Moldflow or similar).

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and validate injection molding processes balancing cycle time, quality and cost.
• Evaluate mold designs for manufacturability; partner with mold makers on tool builds and repairs.
• Troubleshoot defects on production floor; perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead mold sampling, first‑article inspection, and process/tool qualification for new/revised programs.
• Run DOEs to establish robust process windows and reduce variation across shifts.
• Plan preventive maintenance to maximize tool life and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with product design, quality, and production during NPI.
• Maintain process and tooling documentation, work instructions, control plans, and mold records.
