Job summary

SOCOE SDN. BHD. in Kuching, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Lead, Finance & Accounting to drive long-range FP&A and provide hands-on leadership across transactional finance duties.

You will build robust models, oversee month-end close, cash flow, governance, and automate processes with ERP and analytics tools while mentoring a high-volume team.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in corporate finance, FP&A and full-spectrum accounting.
• 3+ years leading team operations.
• ACCA/CPA/MIA or equivalent with degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Strong financial modeling and corporate planning capabilities; controls over high-volume transactional pipelines.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, database/spreadsheet modeling, and analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau).

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic FP&A; build long-term forecasts and annual budgets.
• Manage and mentor the operational accounting team; oversee AP/AR, billing, vendor disbursements.
• Oversee month-end close, cash flow management, variance analysis, and audit readiness.
• Modernize accounting workflows and ERP integration to improve speed, reduce latency and strengthen controls.

Job description

Command the dual pillars of strategic financial intelligence and operational accounting. As Lead, Finance & Accounting, you will drive long-range Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to guide corporate strategy while providing hands‑on leadership to the transactional finance team—ensuring flawless execution across AP/AR, treasury, cash flow management, and monthly reconciliations.

Core Execution Focus

• Strategic FP&A & Business Partnering: Build robust financial models, long-term forecasts, and annual budgets to advise executive leadership on capital allocation, margin expansion, and investment decisions.
• Transactional Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the operational accounting team, driving day‑to‑day execution of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing cycles, and vendor disbursements.
• Financial Reporting & Governance: Oversee month‑end closing, cash flow management, variance analysis, and audit readiness while maintaining compliance with local statutory accounting standards.
• Process Automation & Metrics: Modernize accounting workflows and ERP integration to improve transaction processing speed, reduce reporting latency, and enhance financial controls.

What You Bring

• Track Record: 7 to 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, FP&A, and full‑spectrum accounting, with at least 3+ years leading team operations.
• Professional Qualification: Recognized accounting certification (ACCA, CPA, MIA, or equivalent) with a degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Dual Mastery: Proven capability in combining high‑level financial modeling and corporate planning with rigorous control over high‑volume transactional pipelines.
• Technical Acumen: Advanced proficiency in modern ERP financial systems, database/spreadsheet modeling, and business analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).
