Job summary

Ych Distripark Sdn Bhd is seeking a Finance Systems Specialist to support the setup of consolidation tools (Prophix) and Tableau, delivering dashboards and training to enable finance teams across regions to work independently.

You will ensure data flows are validated, standardised, and sourced from a single source of truth. The role also involves automation, reporting improvements, and driving efficiency through continuous process enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in accounting/finance or business required.
• 5–8 years of related experience in finance, digital transformation, systems, or process improvement.
• Strong background in accounting operations, financial reporting (IFRS/GAAP).
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with consolidation or EPM platforms (Prophix, Sigma Consolidation) preferred.

Job description

• Support the setup of consolidation platform (Prophix) and Tableau, including workflows, dashboards and reporting frameworks.


• Design and deliver training that leaves finance colleagues genuinely self-sufficient - workshops, one-to-one coaching, written guides.


• Act as the practical first point of contact for finance users across countries when systems or data do not behave as expected.


• Increase the use of the platforms, particularly in centralising data that currently lives in scattered spreadsheets - leases, warehouse and unutilised space, etc.


• Identify potential system upgrade to drive efficiency.

Data validation and reporting

• Ensure(validate) data flows correctly between finance systems and business platforms, and that reporting draws on one consistent source.


• Build validation procedures that catch bad data at the point of entry rather than at month-end - checks that block, not checks that warn.


• Extract, parse and interrogate large financial datasets: charts of accounts, journal populations, trial balances, intercompany transactions, legacy multi-sheet workbooks.


• Work in partnership with the Finance Systems team, who own the systemij in production, so that transformation changes land cleanly in the production environment.

Programming and automation

• Build and maintain scripts and applications that improve efficiency in reporting, reconciliation, forecasting and controls monitoring.


• Develop computation engines that replace manual schedules - lease accounting, allocations, intercompany matching, automated actuals feeds


• Design data capture tools with built-in validation, so that structure and control are part of the tool rather than a separate discipline.


• Build dashboards and visualisations that tum financial data into insights the business and the CFO can act on.

Process improvement across the finance cycle

• Identify opportunities to optimise, automate and simplify processes across Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash and FP&A- with evidence, not assertion.


• Support the redesign of accounting processes: payment approvals, overhead management, cost allocation, revenue recognition and accrual procedures, lease accounting workflows, PP&E and the general ledger close.


• Support transformation projects from design through implementation to adoption - requirements gathering, configuration, data migration, testing, go-live and post-implementation support.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Ad.min or Finance.


• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a digital transformation, systems, or process improvement role.


• Strong background in accounting operations, system implementation, and financial reporting (IFRS, GAAP).


• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).


• Oracle BBS experience preferred or similar equally relevant - covering reporting, extracts and integrations.


• Consolidation or EPM platform experience, for example Prophix, Sigma Consol or similar.


• Advance Excel skill required (Macro development), while having Python knowledge will be a plus.


• Strong project and change management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.


• Logistics, supply chain or REIT background preferred.
