Job summary

Dyson is seeking a Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer to join the Technology Development department and contribute to the Product Performance group. You will quantify and optimize how Dyson hair appliances dry and style hair, using modelling tools, data analysis and predictive models.

You will design experiments, write analysis scripts, and work with project teams to deliver performance that aligns with the product vision, applying engineering fundamentals and strong communication in English.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
3+ years’ experience in product design and development.
Strong working knowledge of engineering fundamentals, measurement analysis and statistical analysis.
Competency in Minitab, MATLAB or Excel or other data acquisition/processing tool.
Some competencies in CAD/CAE tools are preferred.
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Identify the fundamental factors that contribute to the desired performance metric.
Utilize modelling tools to optimize and/or predict performance.
Analyse and make recommendations from experimental tests and analytical data with rigorous technical standards.
Design tests and test plans to efficiently identify and optimize performance while aligning with customer experience.
Write scripts/Excel/Minitab analyses to create predictive models for performance.
Propose design mitigations and recommendations to achieve performance targets.
Collaborate with a project team to deliver optimized product performance in line with product vision.
