Confidential (International Engineering & Consulting Firm) in Malaysia invites an experienced Electrical Resident Engineer to supervise construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of Main Plant electrical systems for a major hydropower project. The role requires delivering field supervision and ensuring compliance with project standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience in power generation facilities, hydropower

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.
Proven experience in construction supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning of power generation facilities.
Experience in hydropower, thermal power, or large industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

Lead supervision activities for Main Plant electrical works.
Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans.
Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and quality requirements.
Coordinate with contractors, equipment suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Review construction progress and provide technical recommendations.
Identify and resolve technical issues during construction and commissioning phases.
Prepare technical reports, inspection records, and progress assessments.
Support energization and commissioning activities.
