Job summary

MSR Green Energy Sdn Bhd seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design, project execution, and grid interconnection for renewable energy projects. You will oversee LV/MV systems up to 33kV, perform power system studies, and ensure compliance with Malaysian regulations and IEC standards. Travel interstate may be required.

The candidate must hold PEPC and ST JEK 33kV, with 12+ years of relevant experience in detailed engineering, testing and commissioning. 132kV competency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 12+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in power systems/renewables.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian electrical regulations and IEC/standards.
• Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate (PEPC) – Mandatory.
• ST Competent Electrical Engineer (JEK) certificate for at least 33kV – Mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and review of LV/MV systems up to 33kV and assist higher voltage until permitted by certification.
• Develop and approve detailed engineering calculations, drawings and interconnection schedules.
• Perform power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination) using ETAP or equivalent.
• Coordinate with project teams, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders; travel interstate as required.
• Oversee installation, testing, FAT/SAT, and commissioning activities; ensure safety and quality.
