Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical engineering activities for FPSO, offshore oil and gas, and data centre projects. The role leads the electrical team, ensuring design excellence, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery across engineering phases.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in electrical engineering, with 5 years in a leadership role and strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, electrical design tools, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 12 years in electrical engineering with 5+ years in leadership on FPSO/offshore or Data Centre projects.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV distribution, transformers, gensets, and MCCs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering team to deliver on FPSO and data centre projects.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, API, NEC and client specs.
• Review diagrams, load schedules, cable sizing and equipment datasheets.
• Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation and process teams for integrated design.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Support procurement with vendor document reviews and technical bid evaluations.
• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
