Job summary

Henkel is seeking a Team Lead, Application Engineering (SEA) for a Thailand-based role in Chonburi. The candidate will coach and develop a regional team of application engineers, working with key stakeholders to drive customer growth and product demonstrations across adhesive applications.

The role requires a degree in engineering and 10+ years of experience, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills. Relocation support and international exposure are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related Engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of experience as an Application Engineer or Technical Engineer, with strong expertise in adhesive applications within the EMO or AE segments.
• Proven experience in leading, coaching, and developing Application Engineering or Technical teams.
• Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to support key accounts and drive business growth.
• Experience delivering technical training to sales teams, distributors, and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Product Development, Innovation, and cross-functional teams on new product development and application projects.
• Knowledge of digital tools, digitalization initiatives, or data-driven application development is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of laboratory operations, safety standards, and 5S practices.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Coach, manage and develop the application engineer team in SEA
• Work closely with key business stakeholders to support the customer needs and business growth.
• Drive application/equipment innovations and develop new test method to meet the customer needs.
• Responsible for product recommendations, customized products applications, new product demonstrations and troubleshooting for customers.
• Leverage customer feedback to drive optimization in customer service and identify new business opportunities for sales colleagues
• Promote internally SBU innovations and best learnings cross accounts, respect and promote the internal Henkel SHE rules.
