Job summary

Acre Works Sdn Bhd is seeking an on-site supervisor for the Proj Rapid Transit LRT Pulau Pinang-Laluan Mutiara in Penang. The role oversees on-site launching and lifting operations for segmental box girders, ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution in accordance with approved plans.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with LRT/MRT infrastructure projects, a relevant diploma, and strong leadership and safety compliance mindset to coordinate crews, equipment, and lifting activities

Responsibilities

• Supervise launching riggers and site workers in installing segmental box girders for bridges and elevated structures.
• Coordinate and monitor launching, lifting, rigging, and segment installation activities.
• Ensure lifting operations are carried out safely and in accordance with plans and procedures.
• Manage manpower, machinery, equipment, tools and materials to ensure efficient site operations.
• Monitor work progress, workmanship and quality compliance against project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings to ensure HSE compliance.
• Coordinate with the Launching Superintendent, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and QA/QC personnel.
• Identify site issues, resource constraints and delays; report to management.
• Maintain daily progress records and ensure equipment is well maintained.

Projek Rapid Transit Aliran Ringan (LRT) Pulau Pinang-Laluan Mutiara
Preferred candidates with hands-on experience in LRT/MRT infrastructure projects and based in Penang.

Job Purpose

To supervise on-site launching and lifting operations for segmental box girders (SBG), ensuring safe, efficient, and quality execution in accordance with approved method statements, project specifications, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise launching riggers and site workers in installing segmental box girders for bridges and elevated structures.

Coordinate and monitor launching, lifting, rigging, and segment installation activities.

Ensure lifting operations are carried out safely and in accordance with approved lifting plans and method statements.

Manage manpower, machinery, launching equipment, tools, and materials to ensure efficient site operations.

Monitor work progress, workmanship, and quality compliance against project requirements.

Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to ensure compliance with HSE requirements.

Coordinate with the Launching Superintendent, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and QA/QC personnel.

Identify site issues, resource constraints, and potential delays, and report them to management.

Maintain daily records of work progress, manpower, equipment usage, inspections, and corrective actions.

Ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained, inspected, and safe to operate.

Promote anti-bribery compliance, continuous improvement, teamwork, and safe working practices.

Qualifications

Certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.

Several years of relevant experience in launching, lifting supervision, or bridge and infrastructure construction.

Knowledge of segmental box girder installation, launching equipment, lifting operations, rigging, and slinging.

Ability to interpret construction drawings, method statements, and project specifications.

Good knowledge of construction site safety requirements and HSE procedures.

Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage site workers, equipment, and multiple activities effectively.

Strong commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
