Job summary

Acre Works Sdn Bhd seeks a Site Safety Supervisor for the LRT Pulau Pinang-Laluan Mutiara project, based in Penang. You will implement and monitor site safety and health requirements, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA, CIDB and project standards.

You will lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, risk assessments, incident investigations and emergency readiness, maintain records, and promote a proactive safety culture across the site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction safety, preferably in infrastructure, LRT/MRT, viaduct or bridge projects.
• Valid CIDB registration and relevant safety certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1994, CIDB requirements and construction safety practices.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work with site teams, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Able to conduct site inspections, toolbox meetings, safety briefings and risk assessments.
• Strong attention to safety, compliance and site discipline.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily site activities and ensure compliance with safety policies, statutory requirements and project procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments; identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor high‑risk activities including lifting, scaffolding, excavation, confined spaces and working at height.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, training and awareness programmes for workers and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, identify root causes and follow up on corrective actions.
• Manage emergency preparedness, drills and readiness of first aid and emergency response equipment.
• Maintain safety records, permits, inspection reports, training records and statutory documentation.
• Monitor occupational health, environmental and hazardous material management requirements.
• Track safety performance, KPIs and audit findings, and recommend improvements to enhance site safety.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across the project.

Preferred candidates with hands‑on experience in LRT/MRT infrastructure projects and based in Penang.

Job Purpose
