Job summary

Swan Metal Products Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking a proactive Production Lead to steer laser-cutting operations, read blueprints, and ensure on-specification output. You will manage shifts, mentor staff, and ensure safe, efficient production aligned with deadlines.

The role requires a degree in manufacturing or engineering and at least 3 years of hands-on laser cutting experience, with strong CAD/CAM skills and good English. Mandarin is a plus in liaising with clients.

Qualifications

• Degree in Manufacturing, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or higher.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience operating laser cutting machines (CO2, fibre lasers).
• Strong understanding of CNC operations and CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production specifications.
• Knowledge of materials and laser machine parameters.
• Good communication in English; Mandarin an advantage.

Job description

Ensure to keep production lines running smoothly and manage the shift as well.

Ensure all products to the specified specifications, target and deadlines are met to achieve the order.

Lead the production team towards the goal set by the management.

Coordinate all laser cutting operations and personnel.

Schedule tasks to machine operators.

Ensure machines are operated safely and maintained properly.

• Knowledge of materials and laser machine parameters.
• Good in communication skills in English preferably, Mandarin proficiency is an advantage to facilitate effective communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.
