This involves designing and implementing production workflows, creating assembly and testing procedures, identifying and resolving process issues, and ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing operations.
They collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure proper equipment, tools, and resources are available, and production lines are set up and validated to meet quality and efficiency standards.
The NPI Engineer works closely with product development, engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and other teams to ensure a smooth transition from product development to full-scale manufacturing. They coordinate and communicate technicalinformation, project updates, and requirements to stakeholders.
They may develop and implement quality control plans, conduct product testing and inspections, analyze data to identify trends or issues, and collaborate with quality teams to address any deviations or nonconformities.
They develop project plans, set timelines, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure on-time delivery of new products. They may also manage risks, resolve project-related issues, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
They analyze manufacturing data, identify inefficiencies, and propose and implement process enhancements to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve overall product quality and profitability.
