Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement landscape maintenance programs (weekly, monthly, annual).
• Coordinate maintenance with academic calendar and operations.
• Conduct daily inspections of grounds and verify subcontractor work.
• Issue non-conformance reports and enforce corrective actions.
• Oversee IPM, irrigation, fertilization, and plant health.

Job description

To manage and oversee the successful execution of projects within the Facilities Management domain, ensuring that all deliverables align with the client's requirements, timelines, and budget. The Project Engineer acts as liaison between departments, vendors, and clients to Streamline communication, address issues, and ensure smooth project implementation.

Job Description:

The Landscape Supervisor shall assume the following core responsibilities:

A. Operational Planning & Execution

• Develop and implement weekly, monthly, and annual landscape maintenance programs.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with UiTM’s operational and academic calendar.

B. Supervision & Quality Control

• Conduct daily inspections of grounds, turf, trees, shrubs, and hardscape areas.
• Verify subcontractor works against contract specifications and industry standards.
• Issue non-conformance reports and enforce corrective actions.

C. Compliance & KPI Management Ensure rectification of hazards within prescribed KPI timelines:

• Unscheduled requests (5.5): ≤ 3 working days.
• Routine/planned works (5.6): ≤ 7 days.
• Maintain full documentation (PPM and Work Order), including photographic records.

D. Horticultural & Technical Expertise

• Oversee turf management, pruning, fertilization, irrigation, mulching, and plant health.
• Implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and monitor pesticide applications in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Advise on remedial works, replanting, and landscape enhancements.

E. Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

• Provide weekly operational reports and KPI dashboards to the Head of Maintenance and Client.
• Act as the technical focal point for UiTM on all landscape-related maters, including event preparations and special requests.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum Diploma in Landscape, Horticulture, or related field.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, or horticultural supervision.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of horticultural practices, including turf care, pruning, planting, irrigation, and pest control.
• Familiar with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and compliance with relevant environmental and safety regulations.
• Ability to interpret and enforce contract specifications, quality standards, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• - Proficient in report writing, data tracking, and use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
