Teck Guan Group, Tawau Cocoa Village in Tawau, Sabah, seeks a Landscape Architect to design a year-round garden that is sustainable, visually stunning, and easy to maintain, with a mixed planting of flowers, shrubs, and ornamentals.

You will plan, develop, and supervise planting and maintenance, guide workers, and ensure safety and quality while creating a photogenic, visitor-friendly landscape that complements the ongoing cocoa plantation.

Formación

• Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, Agriculture or a related field will be an advantage.
• Experience or knowledge in horticulture, plant care and landscape maintenance preferred.
• Able to give clear instructions, coordinate daily work and monitor workers' performance.
• Willing to perform outdoor work and hands-on landscaping activities.
• Fresh graduates with relevant horticulture or landscaping knowledge are welcome to apply.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the planning, development and maintenance of landscape areas, gardens and green spaces.
• Carry out planting, transplanting, pruning, watering, fertilising and other plant care activities.
• Identify plants, flowers, shrubs and trees, and understand their growing requirements and maintenance needs.
• Monitor plant health and identify issues related to pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies and plant growth.
• Assist in selecting suitable plants and landscaping materials for different landscape areas.
• Supervise and coordinate workers in carrying out daily landscaping, gardening and maintenance activities.
• Assign daily tasks to workers, monitor work progress and ensure that assigned duties are completed properly and on time.
• Monitor workers' attendance, work performance, discipline and compliance with safety requirements.
• Provide guidance and instructions to workers on proper planting, pruning, fertilising and general landscape maintenance practices.
• Ensure workers use gardening tools, equipment, fertilisers and other horticultural products safely and properly.
• Inspect landscape areas to ensure that work quality, cleanliness and maintenance standards are maintained.
• Report work progress, manpower requirements, plant health issues and maintenance problems to the superior.
• Perform other duties related to landscaping, horticulture, worker supervision and grounds maintenance as assigned.

About the Role:
Tawau Cocoa Village is seeking a creative and visionary Landscape Architect to design and develop a year-round, visually stunning garden at our tourism site. The focus is on creating a mixed planting landscape—flowers, shrubs, and ornamental plants—that is sustainable, easy to maintain, and visually impressive, providing a scenic and photogenic experience for visitors while complementing the ongoing cocoa plantation.

Job Responsibilities:-

Assist in the planning, development and maintenance of landscape areas, gardens and green spaces.

Job Requirements :-

Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, Agriculture or a related field will be an advantage.

Candidates with knowledge or experience in horticulture, plant care and landscape maintenance are preferred.

Basic knowledge of plant identification, soil conditions, fertilisation, plant propagation and pest and disease management is an advantage.

Experience in supervising or managing workers will be an added advantage.

Able to give clear instructions, coordinate daily work and monitor workers' performance.

Responsible, organised, attentive to detail and able to work independently.

Willing to perform outdoor work and hands-on landscaping activities.

Fresh graduates with relevant horticulture or landscaping knowledge are welcome to apply.
