About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team at our Johor Bahru facility. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our laboratory services. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests, maintaining equipment, and preparing samples with precision and care. This role is essential to our mission of providing accurate and reliable results to our clients, and you will work closely with senior laboratory staff and quality assurance teams to uphold the highest standards of laboratory practice.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses on samples using established protocols and standard operating procedures
• Prepare and handle laboratory samples, ensuring proper labelling, storage and documentation
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and troubleshooting when necessary
• Record and manage laboratory data accurately, maintaining detailed records and reports
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised laboratory workspace
• Assist in quality control procedures and ensure compliance with laboratory standards and regulations
• Support senior laboratory staff in conducting experiments and research activities
• Clean and sterilise laboratory equipment and materials as required
• Communicate findings and observations to team members and management in a clear and professional manner

What we're looking for

• Diploma in Laboratory Science, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology or a related field
• Proven experience working in a laboratory environment, ideally in a clinical, pharmaceutical or research setting
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance procedures
• Proficiency in operating standard laboratory equipment and instruments
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Good communication skills and the ability to document findings clearly
• Familiarity with relevant laboratory regulations and compliance requirements
