Job summary

Quasi-S Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Laboratory Technician to assist engineers and carry out hands-on operations including Cross-section, SEM/EDX, and Dye & Pry processes. You will prepare test samples, record data, and maintain lab cleanliness, while adhering to 5S practices and working independently.

The ideal candidate holds a SPM or Diploma in Engineering or Science with at least 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

Candidate must possess at least a SPM or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Material Science), Science and Technology or equivalent.
At least 1 year of working experience in the related field.
Preferably Non-Executive specializing in Science & Technology / Laboratory operations or equivalent.
Experiences in Physical Failure Analysis are added advantages, especially on SEM/EDX, Mechanical cross-section, FTIR, CSAM, X-ray.
Good communication skill and well versed in basic Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers to complete work activities timely, efficiently and satisfactorily.
Perform jobs assigned by supervisor pertaining to hands-on operation such as Cross-section, SEM/EDX and Dye & Pry process.
Assist to prepare test samples and record data.
Upkeep and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the lab.
Able to work independently and carry out 5S.
Perform any other responsibility as assigned.
