Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN VERSATILE RISING SDN BHD is seeking a seasoned Laboratory Specialist to conduct and coordinate testing, perform failure analysis, and support new product introductions. The role requires 5+ years in lab testing or semiconductor/PCB environments, with strong analytical and communication skills in English.

You will operate and qualify lab equipment, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory testing, failure analysis, or semiconductor/PCB manufacturing.
• Experience in analytical testing and reliability testing is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of SPC, MSA, DOE, and statistical tools.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and coordinate laboratory testing and analysis.
• Support urgent production and customer-related testing requests.
• Perform failure analysis and identify root causes of product issues.
• Operate and support qualification of laboratory equipment.
• Improve testing methods and laboratory processes.
• Monitor laboratory consumables and equipment availability.
• Prepare accurate and timely test reports.
• Maintain laboratory documentation and records.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and audit requirements.
• Support reliability testing and new product introductions (NPI).
• Train and guide laboratory technicians.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost savings, and 5S activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
