Responsible for conducting tests that provide crucial information for detecting, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring disease.
Ensure accurate, precise and timely reporting of test results to clinicians.
Perform quality control, institute preventive maintenance of equipment, monitor inventory, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed so that testing output is maintained at the highest possible standards.
Participate in quality improvement, promote and support continuing education and research at all levels within the laboratory.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science, Microbiology, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
Required to register as an Allied Health Practitioner in accordance with the requirements of the Allied Health Professions Act.
Minimum 1 – 2 years of relevant working experience.
Good understanding of laboratory procedures, established protocols, and quality standards.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work accurately in a laboratory environment.
