Job summary

Emersive Sdn Bhd in Selangor, Petaling Jaya, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to assist R&D Process Engineer with product testing, development, and documentation. You will prepare samples, record tests, and support experiments while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma or degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials, has 1–3 years lab experience, and can work independently or in a team with strong attention to detail and good record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related field.
• 1–3 years of laboratory experience (fresh graduates may be considered).
• Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and good documentation practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to follow instructions or procedure strictly.

Responsibilities

• Assist R&D Process Engineer to perform and coordinate product testing and development, with other departmental personnel if required.
• Work together with process engineer/technical manager to develop and evaluate formulas for new products and/or product improvements.
• Ensure clear channels of communication and daily feedback to stay updated on operating activities.
• Plan, set up and undertake controlled experiments and trials.
• Record tests, analyses and report the results.
• Maintain equipment in proper working order and keep a clean work area.
• Prepare and arrange customer samples as necessary.
• Develop and/or assist others in developing laboratory procedures.

Job description

Assist R&D Process Engineer to perform and coordinate all aspects of product testing and product development, with other departmental personnel if required.

Work together with process engineer/technical manager to develop and evaluate formulas for new products and/or product improvements.

Ensure clear channels of communication in the areas and a system of daily feedback to keep abreast of operating activities.

Planning, setting up and undertaking controlled experiments and trials.

Recording tests, analyses and reporting the results.

Conduct Quality Verification test for incoming US shipment as required.

Maintain equipment in proper working order and maintain a clean work area

Serves as a resource for staff and investigates incidents, complaints, and problems according to policy and procedure.

Maintain cooperative working relationships with peers and other staff members.

Prepare and arrange customer’s sample as necessary.

Perform other duties as may be required.

Develop and / or assist others in developing laboratory procedures.

Keeping up to date all technical data/development.

Sample and inventory management includes prepare, label and store samples and chemicals properly, monitor inventory level and coordinate replenishment of materials.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related field.

1-3 years of laboratory experience (fresh graduates maybe considered)

Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment

Strong attention to detail and good documentation practices

Ability to work independently and as part of team

Able to follow instructions or procedure strictly
