Job summary

Geonamics in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, invites applications for a Lab Technician to join our laboratory team. You will prepare samples of construction materials (soil, concrete, steel, asphalt, aggregates) for testing and assist engineers with lab reports and tests, including strength tests for concrete and steel.

You will also conduct on-site field testing (Mackintosh Probe, Field Density, CBR, Coring), maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with safety standards in a dynamic, quality-driven

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples of construction materials such as soil, concrete, steel, asphalt and aggregates for testing as per standard procedures.
• Assist Lab Engineer to prepare laboratory reports and perform laboratory tests, including strength tests for concrete and steel and physical tests for soil samples.
• Conduct on-site field testing such as Mackintosh Probe Test, Field Density Test, CBR, Coring Test, etc.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare samples of construction materials such as soil, concrete, steel, asphalt and aggregates for testing as per standard procedures.

Assist Lab Engineer to prepare laboratory report and perform laboratory tests, including strength test for concrete, steel and physical test for soil samples.

Conduct on-site field testing, such as Mackintosh Probe Test, Field Density Test, CBR, Coring Test etc.

Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.

Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
