Job summary

Jora Malaysia is recruiting for a material testing role tied to a 5-year LRT project with Gamuda in Batu Maung, Penang. You will perform sampling and testing of concrete, cement and soil, both on-site and in the laboratory, and ensure accurate reporting and compliance with safety procedures.

Fresh graduates are welcomed, with training provided. Hostel accommodation is available; you may work Monday to Friday with overtime and some weekend hours based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; training will be provided.
• Candidates with working experience in construction material testing have an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and willing to work at site.

• Assist engineers and supervisors in fieldwork and quality assurance activities.

Company Overview:

We are a material testing company specializing in testing concrete cubes, cement, soil, and other construction materials. Our company provides reliable testing services and prepares comprehensive reports for our clients. We are currently involved as a subcontractor under Gamuda for the LRT project in Batu Maung, Penang, which will be ongoing for the next five years.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform material sampling and testing for concrete, cement, soil, and other construction materials.
• Conduct on-site and laboratory tests according to project specifications and standards.
• Prepare and record accurate test results and ensure proper documentation for reporting.
• Assist engineers and supervisors in fieldwork and quality assurance activities.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure testing tools are calibrated and in good condition.
• Comply with company safety procedures and site regulations.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8.30 AM – 5.30 PM (with 1 hour compulsory overtime)
• Saturday: 8.30 AM – 1.30 PM (with 5 hours compulsory overtime)

Project Duration:

5 years (LRT Project under Gamuda)
