Job summary

Gnosis Laboratories Group in Klang, Selangor, is seeking a Lab Supervisor to oversee daily lab operations on-site. You will lead a laboratory team, enforce safety and QA standards, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with clients to deliver reliable testing services.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a lab/technical services setting.
• Degree in biomedical, microbiology, or medical laboratory science.
• Strong technical knowledge of lab practices, equipment and quality assurance.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team with safety in mind.
• Strong communication and stakeholder liaison abilities.
• Proficient in data analysis, report writing and LIMS use.

Responsibilities

About the role

As the Lab Supervisor (Klang) at Gnosis Laboratories Group, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our laboratory facility in Klang, Selangor. This is a full-time position that requires on-site work at our state-of-the-art laboratory premises.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of the laboratory team to ensure efficient and accurate testing and analysis
• Overseeing the implementation of safety protocols and quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of laboratory practice
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior laboratory staff to support their professional development
• Monitoring inventory levels and procurement of laboratory supplies and equipment
• Liaising with clients and external stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver exceptional customer service
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and procedures
• Preparing detailed reports and documentation to support the laboratory's operations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a laboratory or technical services environment
• Degree in a recognize discipline, such as biomedical, microbiology, medical laboratory science
• Strong technical skills and a deep understanding of laboratory practices, equipment, and quality assurance
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work culture
