Job summary

Gnosis Laboratories Group in Klang, Selangor, is seeking a Lab Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the lab. This on-site role focuses on leading the team, ensuring accurate testing, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will mentor junior staff, manage inventory and procurement, and liaise with clients to deliver excellent service while contributing to process improvements and detailed reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a laboratory or technical services environment.
• Degree in a recognized discipline, such as biomedical, microbiology, medical laboratory science.
• Strong technical skills and a deep understanding of laboratory practices, equipment, and quality assurance.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work culture.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficient in data analysis, report writing, and the use of laboratory information management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of the laboratory team to ensure efficient and accurate testing and analysis.
• Overseeing the implementation of safety protocols and quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of laboratory practice.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior laboratory staff to support their professional development.
• Monitoring inventory levels and procurement of laboratory supplies and equipment.
• Liaising with clients and external stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and procedures.
• Preparing detailed reports and documentation to support the laboratory's operations.
