Job summary

KLK Alami Edible Oils Sdn Bhd is seeking a Laboratory Technician to ensure daily laboratory activities are carried out safely and in accordance with SOPs, rules, and regulations. You will perform inspections and analyses for incoming, in-process, and final products, conduct sampling, manage calibration and upkeep of instruments, and maintain quality records in both paper and SAP/LIMS systems.

The role requires a Diploma in Science with at least 1 year of lab experience; exposure to ISO 9001,

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Science or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year working experience in laboratory is preferred.
• Exposure to ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, Kosher and Halal will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all inspection and analysis for incoming material, in-process material, final product and other samples according to Quality Control Plan, standard test method.
• Provide test results/test reports in timely and accurate manner.
• Perform instrument verification/calibration according to plan and ensure upkeep of all instruments.
• Carry out necessary sampling as per work requirement.
• Ensure all retained samples and documents (e.g., COA) are kept properly.
• Maintain quality records in physical files and software systems (e.g., SAP, LIMS).
• Ensure lab consumables and gas cylinders stock is sufficient and reorder when depleted.
• Conduct online inspection for packing line and inspect storage tank/road tanker.
• Perform QAQC in jerrycan blowing plant and manage associated instruments.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the laboratory.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.

Job description

Ensure daily laboratory activities is carried out in safe manner, and follow all the standard operating procedure, rules and regulation.

Carry out all inspection and analysis for incoming material, in-process material, final product and other additional samples according to Quality Control Plan, standard test method. Provide test result / test report in timely and accurate manner.

Perform instrument verification/calibration according to plan, and ensure proper upkeep of all instruments. Perform inspection on instrument calibration status routinely and report to superior when instrument found faulty or calibration is due.

Carry out necessary sampling as per work requirement.

Ensure all retained samples and document (e.g., COA) are being kept properly.

Ensure proper maintenance of all quality records, both physical records and records maintain in software systems (e.g., instrument, SAP etc.)

Ensure all lab consumables, gas cylinders and chemicals stock sufficient for routine operation, and alert for reorder when stock depleted.

Conduct online inspection for packing line and carry out inspection on storage tank and road tanker/ISO tanker.

Perform QAQC activities in jerrycan blowing plant and handle instrument related to jerrycan inspection.

Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness in laboratory at all times.

To perform other related duties assigned or requested by the Management from time to time.

Job Success Requirements
