Responsibilities

• Record test results accurately and completely.
• Identify abnormal or out-of-specification results and inform supervisor.
• Ensure samples are properly identified, stored, and disposed of.

The Lab Operator is responsible for performing laboratory testing, sample preparation, equipment operation, and routine analysis to ensure that raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and environmental samples meet established quality and safety requirements. The role requires accurate laboratory work, proper documentation, compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), and adherence to laboratory safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses according to approved SOPs and test methods
• Collect, receive, label, prepare, and analyze laboratory samples
• Conduct physical, chemical, and/or other applicable tests as required
• Operate laboratory instruments and equipment correctly and safely
• Record test results accurately and completely
• Identify abnormal or out-of-specification results and immediately inform the Laboratory Supervisor or relevant personnel
• Ensure samples are properly identified, stored, handled, and disposed of
• Maintain sample integrity throughout the testing process
• Prepare reagents, solutions, standards, and other laboratory materials as required
• Check the condition and expiry dates of laboratory chemicals and reagents

About you

• Follow all laboratory safety procedures, chemical handling requirements, and PPE requirements
• Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO requirements, and company procedures where applicable
• Maintain confidentiality of laboratory data and company information
